  1. I would like to know if there are any walking groups that I can join that
organize weekend walks in the Lake District, however Im not actually fussed
    which NP I go to.

Im quite a keen walker and Im 25 so would want to go with my age group for
    the more serous stuff.

    Any ideas?

If you're not fussed about which NP, then see
    http://www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/index/visiting/ranger-walks.htm

There are no search criteria for age group, but just set the
"Suitable for:" field to "Experienced" and/or set the "Walk length"
criterion appropriately, or maybe add "strenuous" as a keyword.

Just don't get left behind by the middle-aged.

How old was that famous fell runner in the lakes when he retired??

Man i cant remember his name.. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Joss Naylor? I guess he's retired from competition by now but he
celebrated his sixtieth birthday by running the 60 highest Lakeland
    peaks in about 36 hours

    Pah! That's nothing. Yiannis Tridimas did a 60 at 60 in 23hrs. 52mins.
    on Sat/Sun 6th/7th August 2005.
