Greetings, rec.runners! Please tell us about your training
    week and goals.

    Last week:
    one 1.8 mile (2.9k) _walk_

    This week:
one 1.5 mile (2.4k) run with 1.0 (1.6k) mile of walking
    one 1.3 mile (2.1k) _walk_
    -----------------------------------------------------------
    Year total: 164 miles (263k)

Currently 204 miles (328K) (as of this minute) BEHIND on my NEW 2006
goal of running "only" 1000 miles (1609K).

    Training: Not very much
However, I have almost completed the transition from walking
"club-footedly"on the outside of my left foot. I'm now walking almost
straight over my ankle. I'm undecided about how quickly to get back to
training. On the one hand, I _don't_ want to fall victim to another
injury, on the other, I think I must have retained some of the training
benefit of the past 2+ years. I'll try to hold myself back...

    Racing past: None recent

    Racing future:
5K road race moved to May 21st - Goal: finish
5000m track race in 3 weeks - Goal: approach or beat crappy track PR
Might try some of the Tuesday night track meets in this time period iff
    my foot is feeling better.
Peachtree Road Race 10K in 7 weeks - Goal: attempt course PR

    Misc goals:
Lose some weight. My weight had stayed approximately the same during
the 6 week layoff, but some muscle has been replaced by fat!
