  1. Hey, so I have this problem with the neighbourhood cats (the animal kind that is). For some reason, all three neighourhood cats all hang out around my house. I don't feed them or have anything that would attract these damn cats. If anything, I chase them, throw things at them or spray them with water every chance I get. Yet they still hang out under my car, sit on my lawn chairs, sleep on my swing and generally party on my deck. How does this bother me? Well, the freakin' cats sometimes take dumps in my yard and eat all the bird food I leave in my birdhouse (for the birds). Not to mention, the cats scare all the birds away, I haven't seen a bird around my house in months! Worse, I look out the window and see the cats humping! Yes, they're using my backyard to hang out and have their wild "monkey sex" menage a trois!! How do I get rid of these damn cats?!

I heard leaving moth balls all over the place will drive the cats away since they hate the moth ball smells. I'm about to try this. The other plan is to use my BB gun to hunt them down, well at least scare them off to someone else's house anyway.....Any advice is appreciated. Getting a dog is not an option. Of all the "[censored]" problems I could have, this is not the one I would pick......

I feel like a [censored] convenient store owner because the neighbourhood kids are loitering.......

    F**king cats.....

    Get a big dog

  3. Call your local chinese take away resturant... 😄

  4. Mothballs should work, they worked on most everything at my ex-in laws cabin when we closed it up for the winter. Trapping neutering and releasing is the only proven method. Alley Cat Allies alleycat.orgalleycat.org can help too.

  5. A mate of mine got cages/Traps from the local SPCA and Captured the cats and took them to the SPCA as STRAYS.The neighbours didn;t even miss them.Getting your own large male cat might sort out your problem.

  6. This is a case where the violence question (see thread with this title) becomes acceptable. The only good cat is a dead cat. 😉

  7. As a cat owner, I can tell you that having your own cat will keep the others away 😄

I suspect the attraction is in fact the birds you have (or had) hanging around your bird feeder.

  8. I would add a second for the Alley Cat Allies, or a similar organization.

If they are out there procreating, the problem is only going to get worse...

  9. I had a similar problem with raccoons and found the solution at my local hardware store .....
Coyote Urine! It worked great. Plus I didn't have to deal with the police or [censored] of neighbors looking for revenge because I killed their pet.

  10. Combination therapy: cat food and warfarin. Worked for me.

I do... and I've had mine for a long time!

  14. just to be clear 😄

  15. shot gun 🙄

  16. In Japan I see 1- and 2-liter bottles filled with water placed on the side of residential streets. I've been told that cats don't like the way light defracts and reflects through the bottles. Just in case the local who said that wasn't pulling my leg, a quick search turned up a similar claim on a gardening website.

Or, plant catnip in your neighbor's yard.
