Hey All,
newb question :P
What are the symptoms of a blown fork? Im getting a slight squeaking noise when the fork absorbs any bumps after taking it on some hard single track with some good drops.
Im currently riding a RST gilla t6
thanks,
Ap

As no one else is offering advice, here is my two cents worth.
Are you sure it’s the fork making the noise? Is it on compression and release? or is the sound coming from the mounting that secures the two legs of the fork to the stearer tube.
I don't think your fork has blown, oil filled shocks will first show signs of oil at the seals, and the cheaper polymer spring type, will be bottoming out. Well any blown shock will bottom out with a knocking sound.
If the shock is behaving properly but squeaking try a little bit of chain lube on the fork stems at the seals.
cool, thanks for your help. I'll try out the chain lube and go from there.
Take it easy,
Aaron
most forks these days are self lubing ie they sue oil from the well inside to lube the stantions each time they are compressed. have you checked whether or not the fork has run out of oil) (as this can happen)

I haven't checked the oil yet in the fork. I assumed that since the fork is only a month old, it would be ok but I will check it out.
Thanks.
