I am looking at getting a new rain jacket and am trying to decide between a Groundeffect Stormtrooper and a Showers Pass Elite jacket. Does anyone have any experience with either of these?
Thanks
Geoff

Yep...commute and distance ride with the Showers Pass gear. It is as good as it gets in terms of keeping you dry but not drenched with sweat, and with good cycling specific features, like rain hood that actually worked under a helmet and plenty reflective content. If I could buy it again, or do something different, I would buy it again. Another plus is that you can often catch it on sale if you keep your eye out.
Hope this helps. 😉

Since your Australian you should check out the Jaggad range
The Monsoon I've got is totally waterproof and windproof, the one thing I like is the close cycling fit due to the stretch fabric, its not bulky like other waterproof jackets I've seen.

Also the Invest Jacket is great if you want a waterproof and windproof vest as well

You should be able to find these quite easily in Sydney.

Thanks for the info guys.
I hadn't thought about the Jagged clothing but I think the Sowers Pass look like thew best so far. I need something that will stand up to constant wear and have a hood.
Cheers
