months time.Depends on how good Basso and Ullrich (and their teams) are in July, I
suppose. Basso's team worked really hard for him in the Giro, and they
might all be pooped - not just Basso himself. Ullrich is in a good way,
but the unity in the team doesn't seem to have improved much even with
Godefroot replaced by the seemingly vastly superior Olaf Ludewig.Mayo may well benefit simply because he didn't ride the Giro.

If memory serves he was DNF in 2004, he got off the bike, back on, you
must be thinking of the TDF2003, now that was a good one, my TOP3 of
the past 15 years with 96 and 97.Mayo's shape bodes well for the TDF2006 not to mention Ullrich looking
lean and mean today at the beginning of the TFSuisse ! -
