Hi
Went into a few shops in the capital this weekend looking for
saddle/seat packs as an improvement to my
constantly-sweaty-back-due-to-small-rucksack-problem but apart from a
few small wedges, not much stock.
I was hoping to find one that was large enough to hold a few essential
tools, sandwiches and a waterproof/windproof top (in the current
weather, the last requirement might sound strange but I get quite
chilly even in this balmy weather).
Read the posts about the large carradice ones. Bit too big for me, as a
day tourer.
I'm thinking about the Ortlieb large one, 2.7 litres. I can't find
anywhere in London with it so was just thinking of getting it sent to
me. There's a Carradice one at 5 litres but this seems a bit over the
top.
Two things: will it be big enough? And, although this is my only
example, my Altura Nevis jacket doesn't fold down too small - is there
better things that would keep me warm and fold down better?
Cheers
cccr
PS Don't mention my last post as, after asking about what the average
cyclist's stock of shorts and tops were (and my lack of changes), I am
now suffering from a very very very inner thigh spotty rash type thing
:-(
