I am looking for suggested routes for a self supported cycle tour lasting approximately 10 - 12 weeks. Distance per week would be around 350 km, I am not planning to win any races. Any recommendations (a) North America and (b) Rest of the World would be appreciated.

Singapore to Bangkok was a pleasant trip when I did it around 1990. Good weather, good food, cheap accommodation, culturally interesting, pretty flat. Peter

Singapore to Bangkok was a pleasant trip when I did it around 1990. Good weather, good food, cheap accommodation, culturally interesting, pretty flat.
I was going to suggest Bangkok to Singapore - did it in 1995.. Bangkok to the Thai border down the east coast. Once across the border into Malaysia cross the peninsula to go down the west coast of Malaysia. I did the both W and E coasts of Malaysia - they're very different and both excellent. East coast is probably quieter, flatter, more Malay and beach-ier. You could go down the west and up the east...then across the peninsular down to KL.
