I'm a newbie and don't have time to wade through the notes about E.R. to find the gems in this group

    please reply off list.

Check out runnersworld.com0,1300,1 51 55,00.html as see read about training.

    Psst, a 5k is a 5K, a marathon is 42+K. No such thing as a 5k marathon. 😉

Will he need a day to recover from this monumental effort Doug?

  6. Kind of reminds me of the infamous "How long was your last marathon?" question all runners get at
    one time or another 🙂

Random number generation is too vital a task to be left to chance.

  7. Don't be silly. Everyone knows that it takes a week for each kilometre. He should avoid jogging for
at least five weeks following this monumental effort. He should also be very careful not to
overhydrate during the race in case his brain cells leach out of his mitochondria. Jonathan "RM"

I didn't make any such notes? Are you sure you're replying to the right thread?

I will attest to Steves general lack of any useful input into this group. If it was useful it
    couldn't of been him.
