  1. I bought a cheap wind trainer and now have suddenly realised I don't have a spare road bike frame to use it with.

    I'm planning to stick drop bars on a MTB frame and move the seat so it feels like a road bike.

    Will this potentially cause any injuries/loss of benefits?

    It shouldn't be a problem ...

    My "project bike" is a hardtail whose ROAD components are set up to mimic the set up on my road bike(s) [see attachments] -- saddle position relative to crank is the same, the shifters are the same distance from the saddle ...
