"Dazer" Dog deterent ?

One of my favorite subjects, I hate dogs and love my Halt spray. Just wait for the dog to get right on your heals and let him have it right in the face.

I love my pets but am getting put out with dog owners who have loose and or vicious dogs!! 😠 After $26,000 in shoulder surgery following a high speed encounter with a large dog my wife bought me a Dog Dazer. It seems to work well with most dogs. You have to score a direct hit with Halt but just aim the Dazer at the chaser. I have stopped several vicious dogs in their tracks with it. The manufacturers do warn that it is not effective against deaf dogs. 🙂
The dog that I hit though was so fast that nothing would have stopped the accident. I ran over another dog three weeks ago and again the dog just darted out of brush. :eek: None of the riders saw it coming. Miraculously I did not go down but we think that the dog broke a leg the way it dragged itself off the road. I didn’t dare walk up to the house. I might have been shot for trespassing. I did call animal control though since we were having a charity ride pass by the following week. We have beautiful country roads to ride on in upstate SC but dogs are always a factor. I have gotten to where I plan my routes on the dog factor. Once you have major surgery from a wreck, you are always cautious after that.
