My best mate, currently in New Zealand, hasn't yet replied to my plea/offer to fly out and meet him for a week and a bit. So this leaves me with about 10 days off work which would make a lovely autumn(?) UK cycle tour.
Where shall i go this time? -- "Netiquette" states that a signature should be no more than four lines long.
Mind you if you want warm weather I suppose you should head south...
Cheers, helen s

It's decided. The trip to New Zealand is on. Without bike.

Bungy jumping instead of cycling, then?
Cheers, helen s (going green with jealousy at the thought of a trip to NZ)

I could just tie a load of old inner tubes together. Actually, my insurance doesn't cover dangerous sports such as bungee jumping or mountain biking! Which is quite fortunate 'cos neither of those appeal to me.

Maybe hire a bike for a day or two. I recommend the ride to Arthurs Pass from Greymouth, either go all the way over to Christchurch or spend the night at the YH at the top and return back - thats what I did. Maybe do it there & back in a day, I can't remember how far it is.
