Cycling shoe for toe clips (walkable)?

Any low profile sneaker is fine. I find Blundstone Boots to be
fantastic in the winter. Some folks like bike specific shoes without
the cleats.

If you get a cheapie set of MKS platform pedals, even floppy shoes are
comfy:

Toeclips are not installed in that picture, but they're meant to have
them mounted.

Do consider some spd pedals with a pair of walkable casual shoes as
well: best of both worlds.

Buy some of the Spenco inserts that are padded hard plastic. Then you
heat them and mold them to fit your feet. Use them with any shoe that
fits your pedals/clips.

We found some Diadora cycling shoes made for toe clips, and I had no idea
what they were. One of the owners told me, and I said, "Ohhhh, that's why
all those old toe clips were all weird and triangular." I'm probably the
only one here that didn't know that.

You can see the toe-clips on the bicycle, too. The handlebars probably
didn't come like that.

Also, in England, there are still makers of traditional leather cycling
shoes for touring. They are not on the internet. You can use leather
dress shoes with thick leather soles if you can find a suitable style.

Platform pedals like the MKS GR-9 (available many places mail order in
the US, about $26) allow you to use just about any shoe. Regular pedals
require thicker stiffer soles, like the Cortez, or leather dress shoes
with thick stiff soles. You want a trim cut shoe, like the ones listed
above, to easily pull in and out of the straps.o
