Help needed please !!

I suspect that if there was a recall that your bike has been attended to ...

The only reason, therefore, to change the fork/etc. would be mostly cosmetic ...

There are some advantages to a threadless fork, and there are some advantages to a threaded fork ...

For the most part, the changeover involves MONEY.

So, if you have extra money and/or don't like the look of your bike's fork & stem, then the main thing will be deciding how much you want to spend -- a replacement fork can cost between $70US & $800US ... a stem can cost between $20US and $200 ... the headset will probably set you back between $25 & $130.

You can contact TREK to see if the bike's stem bolt has been replaced, BTW.
