  1. Well, the last day I was able to ride on my woodlands trail was last Wednesday, before Isabel hit
    the east coast.

Friday, the river had risen completely covering the trail, and it looked like it was going to be a
    while. I was already jonesin'!

By Saturday the river had dropped and I went out to check out the damage - at least 4 trees had
fallen across the path, and there was a lot of deep sand on the trail. I got in a partial ride, and
had some fun going through a 1-2 feet deep 'pond' where a 100 feet of trail used to be.

Sunday, I got out the camp saw and went back out, and cut up two of the trees. Cutting wet live
trees with pressure on them is no fun.

Yesterday I took the camp saw back out and got the last two trees - quite a workout on itself. In
addition, ever tried to bike while carrying a camp saw? ;-)

Today I got my first half-way decent trail ride in, still a lot of silt and deep wet sand on
    the trail.

Oh well, at least last night's storm didn't dump any more lumber on the trail.

For small trees and limbs, a folding saw like
gerberblades.comview.php Okay, that one retracts, rather than
    folding in.
