  1. I recently got crushed in a 20 bike pile up at a criterium... however my hand missing skin... I think my bike caught most of the damage (bent derailleur hanger, possibly bent derailleur, broken off break levert, out of true wheels) and most importantly some knicks in the paint (black paint)... Is there anything i can do to touch those up and make it not look uhmm crappy, restoring my pride and joy

  2. Go to an auto accessories shop and get some auto 'touch up' paint in one of those little tube style containers. Also get a good (Meguiars) quality Clear Coat prep cleaner and a good quality polish (Mothers).

Clean the area(s) with the Clear Coat Prep (follow the directions) followed by a light polish to remove any/all imperfections. Remove all traces of polish etc with a spirit cleaner and finally use a little of the touch up paint to finish off (maybe get a very fine paint brush from a hobby shop).

Let the paint dry/harden for say 24 hours and the repeat the Clear Coat Prep and polish for the whole bike.

Should come up looking brand new with a bit of care and patience 😎
