  1. I am going to fit a front V Brake to my touring bike that has dropped handlebars. Can any one tell
me the type and source of a brake lever that operates V bakes from dropped bars.

  2. Peter, you can use this brake lever, ' Dia Compe 287V Levers £39.95 per pair' from
    edinburgh-bicycle.co.ukitem.cfm

    Thanks, John

Hard to do with some sort of adapter- have you considered some of the really good cantis out there
    like Tektro, Avid, Paul?

No adapter required, works really well with road levers.

  4. you may want to try out a "QBP Travel Agent." About $20 online. It's a work around to having to buy
    a new set of brakes.

performancebike.com has is, although their service has really gone to pot the last few years.
