appreciating such talent is a sense of humour.

It's a well known fact that if you don't like someone, for whatever
reason, you will never appreciate anything they say or do. If you have
decided to dislike someone because another person says they are
persona non grata, then you are a very shallow person and no-one will
ever give your opinions any credence.
