I just took out of the freezer some butter which I bought, Turkish "Teksut" tereyagi (tereyagi means butter as far as I know).

It smells like a very ripe cheese, but looks like a more-yellow-than-usual butter.
Anyone had any experience with this product? Thanks, Dee Dee

I don't even speak turkish, but the word "kulturu" in the ingredients list suggests this is a cultured butter. If so, it's had bacteria added to eat the lactose and produce flavor compounds. Apparently, stinky ones. I suppose you'd have to find a turk who knows his tereyagi to sniff it and tell you if it's good. The comedy plots write themselves.
