  1. This group seems to have gone a little quiet?

Have all the numpties gone away for a bonding session per chance?

If so, I hope so - this group's a lot better without them

At least now we can have some On topic conversations...

New style or old? "The new one looks like a load of penc; the old one's
fantastic apart from having no porch." Discuss

Bah! I can put my boots and my cooking stuff in the porch. That's
    enough space for me ;o)

The zip pull has snapped off on the flysheet of one of my tents Had to
resort to strategically placed bin bag to keep the rain off - now, I'll
    have to
take my second PA1 out of the plastic bag and start using it instead.

What do you do about food and boiling water when it's throwing it down
though? That was the thing that sent me scurrying to a Travelodge last
Autumn - having got cold and wet during the day I realised that I
wouldn't be able to have a cuppa in the morning without getting colder
    and wetter.

I guess we're a broad church on this forum. Some of us when faced with
hardship will set our jaws and dig in, others will scuttle whining to
the comfort of sitting up in bed with an electric blanket on, television
and a cup of cocoa. Of course, none of this is revealed when they get
back to work - "Yeah, weather was a bit nasty, but when you're an
experienced outdoor person like me, you just cope with it". I believe
there's a naval saying - "Jack The Lad in port, but 'Oh my Christ' at sea"!

We're only jealous because everyone else but us has gone walking for the
