adding visor to helmet

I've seen aftermarket add-on visors that attach with velcro pads with
sticky backs. They seem to stay on fairly well for at while (I
remember my wife's add-on visor finally losing the "sticky" on the
velcro pads, but it took years IIRC).

You might also check out a runner's store. They sell visors that could
easily be worn with a helmet.

Sorry - I have no idea where we got it - probably at a local bike
store in New Jersey (it was a long, long time ago).

Yep. My wife digs it.

Since it's a single layer of carbon fiber, it'd be easy to trim with
sharp scissors. On her helmet, it's been left full length since she
rides a recumbent and wants more shade on her face. She had been using
a runner's cap under her helmet:

I just wear a baseball cap under the helmet. Forehead pad moved inside
cap (easy since I use a maxipad for the forehead pad on my ancient
Bell helmet - they're far superior to the pads the helmet guys
have come up with).
