Hi Ross.

As I understand it (and I haven't been following this too closely), she didn't declare she was using
it. Seems like quite a high price to pay for being forgetful. As I tell my swimmers almost every
day: PAY ATTENTION!

White have narcolepsy? If so, and it wasn't on the banned list before now, why is White in
trouble for it?

Or did this fall under a generic ban against all stimulants?

What I read about the story said that she either contacted or was contacted by a doctor in the
States that told her she could get an advantage by taking this stuff AND he gave her some samples to
try! She claimed that she "had" to use it because she suffered from narcolepsy and could suddenly
fall asleep during a race (how believable is that!). Then, in the investigation, they learned she
did not have a history of narcolepsy nor a pattern of being prescribed this medication. When you
factor in that she didn't have a prescription history of using the drug but merely a handful of
samples, people became skeptical....no kidding!
