  1. Had the following in an e-mail form Velorution:

2 Presentation by the Royal Parks of their plans for greater
accessibility for people on bicycles - Berlin and London share the title
of greenest capital city. Up to now, Berliners on bikes have been able
to enjoy their open spaces whereas Londoners have had fairly restricted
access to parks; this may be changing soon.

    Anyone know anything about it?

All that I know, from a bloke in the pub, is that the Queen sold all the
Royal Parks to an American firm a few years ago. Also, when culling - the
rangers do it themselves, and it's not a holiday for the best marksman in
    the army. Shame.

You've obviously never done a proper "Irish" birthday .. 😉

Seriously, the guy reckoned he was a warden and the Royal Parks sold out the
land. To be honest, it sounded a bit fishy, but it also sounded just like
this country ... Sell out everything ..

Still, I'm also now going to the Queen's birthday in June. Beat that.

(Unless you realise that I'm only going to a review of the troops and not
    the proper thing).

Wasn't that when some joker fired a starting pistol in the vicinity of
    the Q?

(Googles) Seems that was 1981, but would explain the large numbers of
big blokes with suits, earpieces and bulging armpits when we were there.
Especially as we were surrounded by a party of well-dressed Leftpondians
NOT playing cards for coppers while drinking Southern Comfort from the
    bottle...
