Hi everyone. I have been basing my FTP being 300 watts for all the intervals I have done recently. I did a 10 mile TT yesterday and the average was 314. Should my threshold be higher than 300 now or is it about right?
Thanks

FTP= Maximal Average 1-hour power or ~40k power.
A rough ratio for a 10-miler (20-25min?) versus a 40k/25-miler is 0.95.
314 * 0.95 = 298W so I'd say your 300W is fine for now.
How did the TT go then? 😉

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully it will get higher as the season goes on.
TT went well thanks. Used my srm`s to their potential instead of setting off like a maniac. 7 seconds seperated the top 4 but i was unlucky to be 3rd with time of 21.31

21:31 is moving - I make that ~45kph in units I can understand. And you were within a few seconds of winning. Congrats 🙂

Nice ride si. I had a throat infection and should have stayed at home but stupidly rode and paid the price. was at 250 w in places back . went straight home and had to have the car heater on full I was shaking that much. Been in bed 24 hours and still can not swallow or stop shivering. I did 280 w for 21.59 so you id 35w more for 30 secs..sounds a lot are you sure they are not reading high as at my best on RANBY a 20.30 last year was 298 watts.
nice onr though, looks like Ill need another week off. SGB
