  1. Hi all,
I'm hoping to go walking in the Dales this weekend, does anyone have
any good suggestions of routes that we could do that are around 8-10
    miles?

    Thanks.

  2. Where about are going in the Dales??- used to live near Leyburn so if you
give me a location I might be able to help you.

Paul Hannon has written a few books about walking in the Dales
and we find all his walks quite doable. His books are on sale in
    most newsagents in the Dales.

  4. There are several routes around Gunnerside which are quite scenic at
this time of year and with planning you can make them as long or as
short as you wish. Should you find yourself finishing your route in
Gunnerside, the local hostelry is very accommodating towards walkers.

Further up Swaledale is wonderful too, Muker up to Keld, towards Tan
Hill, the BEST free range eggs at Ravenseats farm.

Then again the Dales is pretty big and the OP might be in the Malham
area!! Tell us where you're headed Wilbur.

    Roy.
