I think you're being a bit hard on her. She's a Lancaster Mennonite. As such, she's by definition little above clueless as to matters of the "outside" world. I recall a story about Landis several years ago that noted that his family strenuously opposed his taking up bicycle racing. It took her a long time to begin following Floyd because she had never watched TV before. So it sounds like she's in the process of being corrupted by the modern world. And you've got to admit that Floyd's two sisters are kind of cute in a Mennonite sort of way, eh?
