  1. SBS are showing a series about dream jobs, you get to swap from your everyday job to something you've wished you could do, and get to do it for a week.

I love bike shops as many of us probably do and I have wondered about what it would be like to own/work in one.
Any takers on letting us know what its like in the candy store?

Is it all you dreamed it would be?
Is it [censored], dull and boring?
Do you get out on the bike as much?
Are the customers great or do they deserve contempt? (optional reply)

    Spill the beans, I'm curious!

    Cheers, DB

  2. never worked in one...but can easily spend hours wandering around inside them. love them.

would imagine its a hard gig, not much money, and probably becomes repetitive, boring, and you hate the customers after a while. human nature eh!! 🙂

i think it would be fantastic... getting to try all the products and working out what works for you. you'd have all the contacts as well, to do all the riding you wanted! you'd become adept at working on bikes and never worry about paying for a service again. you'd be able to help people develop an interest in bikes too, which would be good! sure there isnt much money, but if you like it, it becomes worthwhile. as for customers, they're the same in any type of job- theres good and bad the world over

    🙂
