Hi, I just joined tonight although I'm not really into bikes anymore. At 63, my biking consits of 30 min. a day on my recumbent excersize bike. When I was young however, I did go on a few 100 mile day trips & really enjoyed it. This weekend my son is going with a huge group of bikers going from Houston to Austin Texas.... I guess my bike spirit lives on. Anyway, I do have a question on "where to get"... My grandson is still of the right age to loves bikes (he isn't the son of the biker mentioned above). He, like most kids, enjoys odd things & being "cool". I saw on t.v. a bike that came from Australia that had in place of a front wheel, a small pivoting platform with 4 wheels. The advantage was that the smaller multi wheels follow the contors of dips & etc. You can also peddle while turning sharply & etc. It really looked cool. The other bike in question was one I've been trying to find for years. We had a neighbor that had a bike with a pivot under the seat to allow the rear wheel to "float" as you ride. You could also lock it in place to the right or left & ride with one wheel on the curb & the other on the road. Again, it was really a neat bike. I am raising this grandson and on a fixed retirement budget so probobly can't afford either of these anyway but sure would love knowing where I can get information on them. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Hi, I don't know about any of the bikes you described, but what about something like a folding bike, or a "low rider" bike? They're pretty neat looking. Here's a nice website that shows some of them.

Thanks for the response. He had a low rider for awhile but traded it for a stereo. I'm telling you, if you ever see either of those bikes I am talking about.... you will fall in love. Thanks again -
