My threshold is 273, I did 10 intervals on a three minute hill at 300 watts average. Afterwards I felt like I'd did nothing. None of the intervals put me into difficulty. This is supposed to be anaerobic?
I'm new to this of course, but it doesn't make sense to me.

Not surprising. You were only doing each interval at 109% of threshold. With 3 minutes being the very bottom end for l5 intervals, they should be done closer to 120%. -
How did you arrive at 300W for a 3min high-intensity effort?
-
That's it.
I'm looking at too much information.
I was thinking the "hypothetical" rider's threshold was 290, when it was in fact 250. 120% would put him at 300.
I thought I was riding higher than I was supposed to be and it was too easy, when I was riding below what I should have been. Thanks for waking me up!

I'm new to this of course, but it doesn't make sense to me.They were anaerobic, or almost. Try again at 330watts, but make them 4 minutes long. It takes almost two minutes to really create the environment you need to cause the adaption you probably want. With only 3 minutes you're only getting about 1 minute of what you really want. With 4 minutes you've doubled that time. Maybe aim at 5 reps. If that's still too easy try 340-350 watts for 5 reps of 4 minutes. Then try 4 reps of 5 minutes. When you get to where you can barely finish 4-5 reps of 5 minutes each you'll be getting some real improvement in your ability around your VO2max.
