Avanti Sprint? How many speeds? I'd say it was a pretty sweet deal from trademe?
-
I was lucky getting this bike as the secretary at work had it in storage for her brother. He had not used the bike for two years and she knew i was looking for one, and he wanted rid of it, so one thing led to another and i took the bike home. She was glad to see it being used! so we were both happy! It says on the frame that it is an Avanti Monza comp series 54cm frame, 7005 aluminium,Mavic rims,14spd Shimano RX100, it will keep me going for a long time!

.....Yes..... -
Just need some cleated pedals. Good buy. What are the tyres like ?
-
I'm officially envious.
-
I just spent $95 on shoes so i'll wait till next payday and fork out for some pedals! can't wait to try new shoes, my friend says i'll notice a big differance when i clip in !
Bayrunner.

Remember to take your feet out of the pedals when you stop !
Bike shoes generally last 4 years of daily commuting use, so that $95 is going to take you a long way.
-
How long does it take to get used to the shoes? The last thing I want is to fall in front of a car at the lights!
And happy Easter to ya mate!
-
About a week. Highly unlikely that you will fall off in front of a car, as it will only happen when you stop. Embarrishment is usually more significant that a bruse on the elbow. Once you have had cleats you will never go back to not having them
