  1. A much belated thanks to the Newsgroup. Thanks to Dr Jai Maharaj.
But surely the Group could come out with a little more advice than corpses,
    vegetables and
exercise. I would dread eating corpses, even if it could reduce my blood
    pressure or save my life..
But just to share a little information I got from other Newsgroups and
    websurfing.
    1. Boiled lime seeds for 4 hours and drink.(not more than twice per week
    2. Steep mushroom stems (the chinese dried variety) in hot water and drink
    after standing
for 12 hours.(not more than twice per week)
    3. Brocolli ,celery tomato, (galic and apple as adviced by Dr Raj),
    Starfruit
.. Eat fresh or in the case of brocolli, soak in hot water for a couple of
    minutes
    4. Boil Asam gelugor (Garcinia atroviridus) buds (leaf) for an hour and
    drink .
(I have tried the first two and seemingly it does lower the BP. But this is
no scientific work and based only on my casual
observation and a digital BP instrument. I bravely dare to try both these
concoctions because both are commonly eaten foods)
My BP I am very happy to say that following DASH diet (no medication), and
some herbal and exercise as above is reduced
from 179/95 to 145/85, in a period of 3 months. I intend to stay out of
    medication for time being.
I hope it could be reduced further.

I hope to receive more suggestions of folk, natives ways of reducing BP
which seemingly seems to CURE hypertension
itself rather than to surpress synptoms.
    .. Thanks in anticipations

How did natives know that they had hypertension that needed treating?

    Derek.

According to our man Jay, they had sophisticated instruments that not
only exceeded the performance of today's best devices, they did it with
environmentally friendly materials, presumably mango seeds, hemp rope,
rice paste, coconut water and reeds. MacGuyver had nothing on the old folks!

  4. They ask their doctors ! How else, Derik
