I was watching ESPN and I saw the very last few minutes of the Boston Marathon, then right after that, they showed a 10k where Paula broke the world record in a 10k.
The only problem is, when was that race? Sometime I watch a rerun without even knowing it. I sort of doubt that the Boston Marathon was a rerun though.
Either way, it looks like Paula is diggin' on some tunes when she runs. I mean nodding her head up and down.
I also liked the finish of the men's race. The guy in second place might have really been first because he didn't slow down at the finish. I'd like to see the photo for that one.
I just looked it up on runnersworld.com and it says Feb 23, 2003, so I guess it was old news. Sorry.
As for Boston. I know a few people that ran it today. One of them had e-mail alerts sent to my cell phone. He had taken some time off from running this year and got off to a great start. All I could think was I just hope he can finish it with a 10k time that fast.
He finished, but I'm glad he doesn't have to use that race to qualify for Boston again.
