My suggestion: Listen to your doc. White
Coat Syndrome is a documented phenomenon.
Talk to him about strategies to avoid this.

OTC diuretics aren't the answer. Unless
of course YOUR doctor feels otherwise.

Sphygmomanometers (blood pressure cuffs) are easily and cheaply
obtained from any large pharmacy -- a series of a weeks readings is of
enormously more significance than a single reading, "white coat
syndrome " or not.
