  1. I'm thinking seriously about getting certified to scuba dive. I have
a customer who is also an instructor and where he does certifications,
they charge $600 for the certification (it includes nitrox). But, I
also found a place in Minneapolis that charges $298 for certification.
I'll be checking others too. Anywho, can anyone give me any advice on
where to do my certification and on what gear to buy? I'll be doing
most of my diving locally (Minnesota/Wisconsin), of course, but also
in the Keys. I plan on going to the Keys in Sept. or Oct. to do some
lobster fishing. My buddy in Florida says you can get the really good
lobster with the scuba gear as opposed to snorkeling.

Anything that puts a fatass like you, underwater, and with a limited
air supply, I'm all for it!

My cousin dives. He's certified as an instructor and loves it. He and
    his wife both dive. Enjoy.

    Trust me, you are certifiable.

I dove a couple of times in Hawaii with my cousin who lived there.
Obviously not certified, but we only dove to 30'. It was a blast. The gal
I'm dating now is certified. I'm actually considering getting certified
    myself also.

  6. I'm an expert muff-diver, does that count?
