  1. I have an umbilical hernia. I've had a hernia before while seeing the
same doctor, and his advise was good before. He told me to use lighter
weights, and more reps, so that is what I am going to do. He
defininetly told me to keep working out. I've researched it on the
internet, and it will gradually get larger. When it gets larger, I'll
have it fixed. I have a new rule for my lifting from now on, even after
I am completely healed. Weights no heavier than comfortable, and more
reps. Add more weight only when I can do 15 reps with the current
weight. I'll still progress, just at a slower rate. Since this is my
second hernia, this is the best option for me. This will also give me a
    better arobic workout.

Just what we need, advice from a dipshit with two hernias...

So why didn't you post your question in those allegedly "better
    places"?

Much to our benefit. Like I said, nobody needs advice from somebody so
    stupid.

For what it's worth, I highly recommend going to the Hernia Center in
Kendall Florida. I had hernias repaired elsewhere, and they were
terrible. Going there, I was active the day of my hernia, and able to
    push weights immediately.

A friend, a female professional bodybuilder took my advise and went
there, and said it was the best advise she ever had. She was doing
    full weights within a week.

They engineer the results, using the forces that caused the hernia to
hold it together. While the average rate of failures in the industry is
10%, theirs is less than 1%.

They are the top researchers in the field.

Why not have your hernia(s) surgically repaired?
