  1. this is only an estimate of ingredience. you will have to judge to your
    own taste.

    Homemade Chili Sauce

2-3 quarts of canned tomatoes, drained, reserve liquid
    2-3 green peppers
    2-3 red peppers
    1-2 large onions
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves

Put the first four ingredients in a grinder, using the large grind plate.
Add the rest of the ingredients and put in a 6 quart pot and bring to a
boil, let simmer until consistency is on the thicker side. If the chili
sauce is too thick, add some of the reserved tomato liquid. Since it is
made of canned tomatoes, it should be eaten within a few days. If you were
using fresh tomatoes, then it can be put into sterilized canning jars with
sterilized canning tops and stored on the shelf.
