    Poppyseed Dressing For Fruit Or Vegetable Salad

    Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
    -------- ------------ --------------------------------
    3/4 cup sugar
    2 Tbsp flour
    1 cup fruit juice (orange or apple)
    1/3 cup vinegar
    1 pinch salt
    1 Tbsp butter
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 Tbsp poppyseeds

    Mix flour and sugar; blend in juice and vinegar. Cook over low heat until
    it begins to thicken. Add salt, butter, vanilla and poppyseeds.
    For vegetable salad, add 1 TBSP grated onion and a little (1/4--1/2 tsp)
    dry mustard instead of vanilla.
