  1. Orange-hazelnut-chocolate cake

    300 g / 10.5 oz Soft Butter
    500 g / 17.5 oz Sugar

    4 Eggs

    350 g / 12.5 oz Flour
    2 tsp Baking powder
    75 g / 3 oz Cocoa
    2 tsp Vanilla sugar
    50 g / 2 oz Finely chopped hazelnuts

    1.5 dl / 2/3 cups Milk
    Juice of 2 Oranges

    1 dl / 1/2 cup Boiling water

    Preheat the oven to 175 C (350 F). Cover the baking dish with baking
    sheet paper.

    Whip the butter and sugar, whip in the the eggs.
    Mix Flour, baking powder, cocoa, vanilla sugar, most of the hazelnuts
    (save a handful the topping).
    Mix the milk and orange juice.
    Whip the the egg mixture, flour mixture and milk mixture together.
    Finally whip in the boiling water.

    Strain into the baking dish. Sprinkle with course sugar (raw cane or
    pearl sugar) and nuts. Bake 35 minutes.

    Serve with whipped cream and excellent organic single estate coffee.
