This is why the cats are expressly forbidden from entering the room
otherwise known as my office. I have one cable chewer, Randy, that
would think he died and went to heaven in there.

    A cable modem, phone/net/ router/firewall#1, switch/firewall #2, to WAP.
Just imagine all those cables. But the prize is my old 1A2 phone system
    - those are the phones that used 24 wires or so per phone in those nice
thick cables. He can't get at the cables on the phones outside the
office since they're either wall, cordless or the cords are hidden as
    well as possible.

When I was using a desktop he used to drape himself over the monitor to
catch the heat and who knows what else.

But I've noticed a new trend. Seems that the laptop has a heat exhaust
port on the left hand side and so Emily tries to sit as close to that as
    possible.

This creeps me out. Ramsey is the cyber kitty in the household. He sleeps
on the printer constantly. Whenever we print anything we watch to make
sure none of his body parts are in the way.

Hoot is the laptop girl in the house. She used to like to sleep on top of
the PC monitor but now likes the laptop. She'll snooze there for as long
as I have it on. What is it with cats and heat anyway? To me it's a
    mystery.

The article comment to the tune of "what about a child's long hair?"
cracked me up. Are you letting a child sleep on top of the printer, too?

I have no children in the house. I did not find the link funny.

I didn't mean you. I was more of less obviously referring to a portion
    of the article itself.

<sigh> Calling it a day now. I'm just not coming across correctly this
evening, anywhere, no matter how hard I try.

I would have thought they were probably thinking more of a child leaning
over the printer, rather than actually sleeping on it <g>.

Unfortunately, the video does not load well to tinypic so does not
    finish. ;-)

If anyone wants the whole thing, e-mail me and I'll send it to you. It's
    around 3 megs.
