I've got hold of a Silva Eclipse Pro compass, which is complete EXCEPT for the instructions (it ahs a set of cards embedded in it's rubber boot, but they are totally enigmatic to me)
Has anyone else got one of these beasts and can let me have a copy of the instructions? If past experience is anything to go by with Silva, they'll be graphical but terse so I don't think they will take much room.
If (yes, I know I'm pushing it) I could have said copy by e-mail, that'd be truly excellent.
I'm OK with "normal" compasses, but sighting compasses are new to me - and this beast has a built in inclinometer and gawd knows what else!

Hmmmm...sorry about that, I should have read it first 🙂 All it really does is explain the 1-2-3 system. Mind you, isn't teh one you have just a more sophisticated version of the simple baseplate model, Graham

The Silva website has nothing remotely approaching "instructions" available for download (other than the basic 1-2-3 method). The Recta website however, does.

I have a Silva Ranger Pro it's described as an Expeditional Mirror Sighting Compass.
A 22 page booklet came with it, and not just diagrams.
