Need some good walks of 6-10 miles on Bodmin moor now that so much new
terrain is open for ramblers. Only guide books I can find are mainly
on roads and older public paths. Can anyone help?

where you want. See: http://www.openaccess.gov.uk/Get a copy of the *latest* OS Explorer map of the area for exactly which
bit you have the "Right to Roam" on.You will need proper boots and wet/cold weather gear, map, compass and the
ability to use them. A GPS could be useful.

We did Rough Tor and Brown [censored] last November, Brown [censored] being the
highest point. We noted that BW is restricted access, though no
problem once you have found the permissive route up.We also visited Minions - a number of walking possibilities from this
village on the south side (make sure you do the Cheesewring), with the
added benefit of shop, tearooms, pub, toilets in the village all open
off-season.Graham
