Whats the best way to train for a 10K in like 6 months. I want to be able to hold 6 min. Should I first build the distance then try to get faster?
Any thoughts
Build the distance gently - really gently otherwise you'll pick up injuries like I did . press out till you get to 7 miles then work away at that distance. On race day you'll be able to get round the 6.2 miles easily and be quicker as the crowd will cary you along.
Good luck - I've been off since Xmas and hope to do a 10K end of April.
