I don't know where or when I got my original cone spanners, but they
were so bent and battered I was fed up trying to use them without
skinning knuckles. So today when I rode into the town I bought a new
pair of shiny, strong, flat ones with unbent and unbattered faces.
I will probably now take apart, service and adjust every hub in the
shed, even though they've almost all been done since Christmas!

I don't know who you've been listening to, but I can assure you I was
never redundant. I "opted for early retirement". ;-)
