It seems that the rider has posed the basic questions which need to be
tested by some good, sound experiments and research before anyone will
ever know what ACTUALLY causes this type of occurrence.
That said: Even assuming the Annan claimed inherent disc brake/skewer
design flaw, using a fork with disc brakes, open dropouts, wheels
attached with skewers, and no lawyer lips, gives rise, as we say in
the legal profession, to the defense of "contributory negligence."
Which is why they call them lawyer lips, DUH!
