I want to put an ultegra 10 speed cassette on a wheel set that currently has a tiagra 9 speed. Is this possible? and how would I go about it?

Yes. With the 10s Ultegra cassettes that begin with an 11T or 12T small cog, you need to use a spacer between the largest cassette cog and the hub.

Make sure you understand that putting a 10 spd cassette is not enough for 10 spd. You also need new shifters and chain. I beleive you can use the same rear derailleur, but someone can correct me if not.

I would just be taking a nine speed off and putting on a ten speed on the wheels to use on my racing bike. thanks though
