  2. There are lots of ways to estimate FT. The gold standard would be to do a 1 hr constant power ride at your max sustainable power with race motivation. The problem in practical terms is both the constant power part and the race motivation part. You could substitute NP for AP and compensate for the difficulty (other than on a velodrome) of riding at a constant power. That still leaves the race motivation problem. Some use their AP for 2x20 L4 intervals as a good approximation. You could also use the Critical Power Model and plug in a few max power/duration data points (e.g., 3, 6 and 20 mins). That will also give you an estimte of your 60min power (FT). Andy has a few others, but I'm not sure I can find the post.
