I have a Trek Alpha 4900 frame with a Rock Shox front shock. I bought the frame used and built it up. However I can't identify the shock model. I even emailed the serial number to SRAM and they can't positively identify it. Its either a Judy or Jett. Frame is from 99 or 2000 I think.
Anyway when I took the shock apart, it has a spring in the left leg under the preload adjustment knob and just oil in the right. The shock is white to match the bike frame with Rock Shox stickers on both legs but nothing else to identify it.

not sure if this helps, but my brother had (has?) the same bike, but blue, from about the same time frame, and i believe his fork was a judy TT...if i remember correctly. then again i havnt seen the bike since about summer 2001, he probably hasnt ridden it much in the past few years either with a wife and job and condo now.
being and old skool mtber i may know this, i have had loads of rock shox in the past..

i am not surprised SRAM didnt know...its not made by them...!

Coil spring in the left (with preload), oil damper in the right? I would guess that it's a Rock Shox Pilot
I had one of those on my old commuter bike and your photo looks identical, right down to the colours and general shape of everything. Except mine had a sticker with "PILOT C" written on it 😉
Can't help you with oil weight/amount and such, as when I tried to service it I spilt all the oil on the floor and didn't know what to do next (I'm hopeless with hydraulics, hehe).. since it was on a commuter bike, I just set it to its most stiff position and forgot about it :p
