I'm new here, and the owner of a Giant Suede ladies bike. Because I have a severely damaged spine, I'm not much good at pedalling uphill, but the electric assistance does the trick and I can easily enjoy a 15-mile ride. Maybe it doesn't count as "real" cycling, but I'm loving it!
What I am trying to find out concerns the battery which is an NiMH, and I hope that somebody here may be able to advise. Would the battery last longer if it was switched off on the long straight runs, and just switched on to get up hills, or does switching it on and off deplete it more quickly?
