  1. Hey everyone, i'm doing a half marathon this weekend if you haven't already gathered that from my
    rantings. I have an asics DS trainer racing flat and was wondering if that is an appropriate shoe
    for the distance. I weigh a shade under 160lbs.

    thanks, jOe

  2. I have three pairs of Asics and all of them are perfect, none to others, I had a lot of injures in
    Nike and Addidas, so enjoy your race and do not think much about shoes, just would be better to run
    couple longer trainnings in them,

    GOOD LUCK,

    Adam

    Not to bust your chops but you should not be asking this questions a few days before your race. You
    should have tested these shoes on a long run or two and eliminate the guess. Whether is food, drink
    or the brand and color condom, do it in training first.

    If they're really "DS Trainers", they're not racing flats in the usual sense. Their DS Racer and
    Tiger Paw qualify as "flats".

    That said, DS Trainers are given as "any distance" racing shoes for runners under 70kg (157lbs).
    I've used them on 10k, HM, marathons and a 65km/6 hour race with success (I weighed around
    68kg=152lbs at the time).
