I'll check out the website. Thanks. BTW, which race are you doing? Just curious.
I realize that the Wasatch100 is a beast. Over this last year I have run most of the course, and I
do nearly all of my running on trails in the Wasatch. I guess I am banking on the home court
advantage and a healthy dose of crazy. But, next year I will be in another part of the country so I
am going to give it a shot while I have the chance.
Some history and planning--
Last summer and fall I ran 40-50 miles/week until the trails were too snowy. Then I dropped to 25-30
miles/week. This last month I have started doing one or two longer weekend runs--2.5 hours (around
17 miles) with plenty of elevation change ( > 2500 Ft. ). I was thinkng of increasing my long runs
by an hour in each month. 3 in may, 4 in june, 5 in july, 6 in Aug. In June, July, and August I
thought I would keep my weekly mileage at about 60-70.
Does this sound reasonable?

A summer one.
Quoted message said:How many hours are your long runs at this point? I have a good idea what a training week should
be like in July and August, but I am not sure about April. I would like to know if I am on track.
I have a few other questions, but will save them unless someone is actually interested.
I know you live in Utah from you address but you are going to do one of toughest 100's as your
first? 29,000 of up and respective down. You get an A for guts. Without knowing anything about
your running history it would be impossible to know where to start.
I'd suggest you start with run100s.comwf100.htmOpen ↗ and follow the links for training.
There is also an ultra forum that you might want to subscribe to after you have perused the
web pages.
